Benefits of taking an in-class TEFL course
Benefits of taking an in-class TEFL course
The most valuable component of the course is the teaching practice with local students.
The teaching practice in a few of the locations like China and Thailand takes place at low-income primary schools through local charities. In addition to providing free English classes to children who normally don’t have access to these type of classes, we donate teaching supplies and stationery to the primary school teachers and students.
No matter which TEFL location you choose, you’ll get hands-on teaching practice that will be incredibly valuable for your teach abroad career!
Meet Other Like-Minded Teachers
In-class TEFL courses are a great way to cultivate relationships with your fellow trainees as well as the trainers and alumni you meet throughout the program.
You’ll meet people from all walks of life, who share one common goal: to become a great teacher.
During the evenings and weekends, you’ll be able to get together with the other teachers that are enrolled in the course, to either work on things for the course itself or just hang out and get to know each other. This is a great way to find future roommates, and you can even try to get teaching jobs in the same school after the course ends!
