SAT/ACT Test Prep Teacher – Hong Kong (Flexible Start Date)
Hong Kong's leading provider of US test preparation services is looking for full-time, dedicated teachers to join their team. With over 150 students scoring above 1500 on the SAT and 34 on the ACT, the academy is known for its expertise and professional, supportive approach to helping students manage academic pressure. New teachers receive professional training and access to proprietary workbooks to help them succeed in the classroom. Students are mostly native or near-native English speakers attending leading international schools in Hong Kong, and the teaching team is a tight-knit group from the US, UK, Hong Kong, and beyond. Experienced teachers are preferred, but candidates with strong communication skills, a solid academic record, and a willingness to learn will also be considered.
Responsibilities
- Teach one-on-one and small group classes, both in-person and online
- Complete training on the academy's proprietary test-prep methodology
- Prepare lessons tailored to individual student needs
- Help draft, edit, and proof group course materials
- Optional: support marketing, web/mobile development, or admissions consulting projects
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from a globally recognized university (required)
- 1+ year of teaching, tutoring, or mentoring experience (required); strong fresh graduates also considered
- TEFL certificate or equivalent (required for Hong Kong visa)
- 95th percentile+ SAT or ACT score (preferred)
- Experience teaching standardized exams (preferred)
- Degree from a top 50 US or top 100 global university (preferred)
