English Teacher – Uzbekistan (Secondary School, Nationwide Opportunities)

Teach English to secondary school students across Uzbekistan, with opportunities available in multiple locations. Uzbekistan offers a low cost of living, so teachers can live comfortably while still saving money.
Contract Details
- Dates: October 2026 - May 31, 2027 (9-month initial contract)
- Location: Opportunities across Uzbekistan
- Renewal: Options for a 3-month summer camp extension and/or renewal for further years
Responsibilities
- Teach English to grades 7-11 (ages 13-17)
- Run extracurricular activities
- Plan and prepare lesson resources
- Mark and provide feedback on students' oral and written work
- Track student progress at the end of each term
- Collaborate with a local assistant English teacher
- Conduct workshops for local English language teachers
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required; degree in English or Education preferred
- No teaching experience required, though some is preferred
- TEFL, TESOL, CELTA, or DELTA certificate required
- Native English speaker from the US, Canada, Ireland, UK, South Africa, or New Zealand
- Age limit: 54 for women, 59 for men
- Experience living or teaching abroad highly desirable
