Classical Ballet Instructor

School in Qatar · Doha, Doha Municipality, Qatar

$1,900–$3,000/mo

About this role

Classical Ballet Instructor
Doha, Qatar · Full-time · 1 position

An established performing arts academy in Doha is hiring a full-time classical ballet instructor. The academy teaches dance, music, and visual arts to a large, international student body, and its dance faculty covers classical ballet, contemporary, hip-hop, and a range of cultural dance traditions. You’d work from dedicated dance studios at a purpose-built centre in the city, teaching to internationally recognised graded syllabi.

What you’ll do

  • Teach classical ballet across a graded UK examination syllabus, from pre-ballet and primary levels through to Grade 5
  • Teach young children through to adults, including dedicated adult classes at both beginner and advanced levels
  • Prepare students for international ballet examinations
  • Assess new students and place them at the appropriate level
  • Build posture, alignment, and safe technique alongside conditioning, creative movement, and real performance quality
  • Teach contemporary dance alongside ballet (an advantage, not a requirement)

What we’re looking for

  • Certified classical ballet instructor, trained at a recognised dance school
  • Certified classical ballet performer
  • 3–5 years’ experience teaching classical ballet
  • Excellent written and spoken English
  • Self-motivated and personable, and comfortable working across cultures

What we offer

  • Tax-free salary, set according to experience and qualifications
  • Furnished accommodation
  • Transport provided
  • Annual return flight
  • Full visa sponsorship and relocation support
  • Structured progression into senior and leadership positions over time
  • A professional studio environment and a multicultural student body and staff room
